The American Association of University Women is accepting applications for its Selected Professions Fellowships to support women pursing full-time study in a master's or professional degree program in which women are underrepresented, including STEM, architecture, law, business and medicine. Award amounts for one-year grants are $5,000-$18,000. The application deadline is Jan. 10, 2015. Application guidelines and procedures are available online.

The association provides about $4 million annually in fellowships and grants. Other upcoming funding opportunities through the association include: International Fellowships, deadline Dec. 1; Career Development Grants, deadline Dec. 15; and Community Action Grants, deadline Jan. 15, 2015. Please email specific application questions to the association's application processing center aauw@scholarshipamerica.org or call 319-688-4334.

As the nation's leading organization for promoting equity and education for women and girls, American Association of University Women is a nationwide community with more than 170,000 members and supporters, 1,000 local branches, and 800 college/university partners. Visit the Manhattan Branch website to learn more about meetings, programs and local scholarship opportunities.

K-State is an official American Association of University Women university partner, thus all undergraduate students can receive a free e-student membership by completing the application online. Special rates are available to graduate students. Recent graduates — within the last two years — can receive a free membership through the Give a Grad a Gift Program by contacting the branch at manhattanksaauw@gmail.com. Regular membership is open to all graduates with an associate degree or higher from an accredited institution.
