Silver Key Sophomore Honorary now accepting applications

Submitted by Cappi Hoeting

Silver Key Sophomore Honorary is now accepting applications for the 2025-26 school year.

Silver Key is the sophomore honor society at K-State. Members are active in a variety of service and leadership projects that benefit both K-State and the Manhattan community.

An important characteristic of Silver Key is that it’s an ever-evolving organization. Its identity changes each year with its members, who choose projects that they deem interesting and worthwhile.

Learn more about Silver Key on its OrgCentral webpage or on Instagram @silverkeykstate

Silver Key meets throughout the academic year at 7:30 p.m. every other Tuesday. Meetings, events and activities in Silver Key are required. There is an attendance policy all members must follow. If accepted into Silver Key, there will be a $40 membership fee.

To qualify for Silver Key, members must maintain a 3.0 GPA or better, are a second-semester college student at K-State, and are a full-time student — maintain at least 12 credit hours per semester.

Completed applications should be submitted via the online form by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 16. Make sure your email address is accurate on the application.

Applications will be reviewed and interviews for those selected will be held on Sunday, March 9, and Monday, March 10. If selected for an interview, you will be able to choose a time that works best for you within our given timeframe.

Candidates selected for the interview process will be notified by email. Information about selecting the time and place for your interview will be shared at that time.
