Participants needed for nutrition study

Submitted by Michael Sweedman

Researchers from the of grain science and industry department need participants for a new resistant starch product study April through June.

Eligible participants include students in their 20s and in good metabolic health. The study will require attendance at Lafene Health Center on three separate days after an overnight fast — drinking water only. Participants will consume a food bar containing a specialty starch product, and your digestion will then be monitored periodically for six hours, where you will be allowed to leave the facility.

At the completion of the study, participants will be compensated $20 per visit, for a total of $60.
