Dean Team
Andy Thompson - Assistant Vice President and Senior Associate Dean

Andy has been director of the office since 2020. He chairs the Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT), and co-advises the Judical Branch of the Student Governing Association who adjudicates complaints of the Student Code of Conduct.
Prior to his work in Student Support & Accountability, Andy spent his career in the department of Housing and Dining Services at K-State as the Residence Life Coordinator of Marlatt Hall. Andy earned his Master's of Education in Counselor Education from Clemson University and his Bachelor's of Science in Recreation Administration from Eastern Illinois University. Throughout his career he has enjoyed working with students on a variety of issues and helping them navigate the university experience.
His professional interests include helping students find success in their academics and personal life, collaboration across the university for student success, and helping students find their passion at the university.

Laurel Moody - Senior Assistant Dean

Laurel is a native Kansan and lifelong Wildcat. She received a degree in journalism and minor in leadership studies and began working at K-State in 2010. Laurel was the Office Manager for the office from 2012 to 2016, during which time she received her master's degree in academic advising. She has served as Assistant Dean since 2016.
Laurel supervises the Student Support Coordinators, Absence Verification Specialist, Case Managers, and Center for Advocacy, Response, and Education (CARE) office.
Laurel works with students in the College of Engineering, Business Administration, and APDesign. Her interests include providing support for students, policy and process development, and reducing barriers for students and staff.

Coordinator Team
Elizabeth Elliott - Coordinator

Elizabeth is a storyteller and educator. Their approach to work centers listening, learning, and teaching within community spaces and roles. Stories for them are the ways we imagine and build a more just and equitable future.
Elizabeth earned their Master of Arts in Education from Kansas State University and their bachelors in Arts as an Individualized Major from Pacific Lutheran University. Previously in higher education they worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant/Instructor of Record, student researcher and community advocate. Their academic and professional worked is connected by a valuing of care about how to best support and care for individuals through community support, programs, and services.
In the office, Elizabeth supervises the student staff, helps process student of concern referrals, and provides administrative support.

Ebony Monroe - Coordinator

Ebony is a lifelong learner and educator. She believes that everyone has the ability to succeed and overcome hardships through determination, utilizing resources, and having a support system of people. Ebony values strong communication, equity, and creating calm and safe spaces for people to feel successful.
Ebony received her Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Emporia State University. Through her years of teaching, she has been able to connect to her community and provide resources beyond academics. She has pursued counseling and is trained in Trauma and Crisis Intervention. In the office, Ebony supervises the student staff, helps process student of concern referrals, and provides administrative support.

Amy Hall - Absence Verification Specialist

Amy has worked in the office in short-term appointments since 2020 and has now joined in a long-term capacity as the Absence Verification Specialist. She has increased efficiencies and consistency within our absence verification procedures and helped streamline the process for students and faculty.
Amy received her Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Her professional interests include connecting students to helpful resources to maximize their academic and personal success, and teaching self-advocacy skills.

Alea Billingsley - Hazing Prevention and Conduct Coordinator

As Hazing Prevention and Conduct Coordinator at K-State, Alea leads the university’s hazing prevention efforts, coordinates National Hazing Prevention Week programming, and works with campus partners to promote student safety, accountability, and organizational success. She also investigates and adjudicates alleged hazing-related violations of the student and organization codes of conducts.
Alea received their bachelor's degrees in Criminal Justice and Modern Languages–Spanish with minors in Political Science and Youth and adolescence from Pittsburg State University. Her professional interests include empowering students to make informed, responsible decisions, and creating a safer, more transparent campus community for all. Her favorite quote is from the Lorax: "Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not."

Case Management Team
Stef Delatorre - Case Manager

Working as a case manager, her hope is to meet students where they are and be ready to help them take their next steps in order to meet their personal and academic goals. Case Management aims to provide support for students through challenging and complex situations, connecting students with resources and fostering self-advocacy through individualized planning.
Prior to her work in the office, Stef worked as a Crisis Case Manager in a Crisis Stabilization Unit for mental health and also has a strong background in healthcare. Stef attended Fort Hays State University for her undergraduate experience.

Anahi Rodriguez - Case Manager

Born and raised in Kansas, Anahi is a proud first-generation college graduate who earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from K-State. In her role across Student Support & Accountability and Housing Services, she helps students navigate difficult times by drawing on her background in Mental Health First Aid, mindfulness research and practice, and holistic resource support. Anahi’s professional interests center on residential well-being and tailoring her support to fit each student’s unique circumstances. She is dedicated to advocating for student needs and being a supportive listener for all students, ensuring they feel heard and supported through any challenge.
