Whether you're passionate about social justice, leadership, advocacy, cultural engagement, sustainability, public health, or community building, student organizations offer opportunities to connect with others, develop new skills, and turn your interests into action.

Social Transformation Studies students are leaders, organizers, advocates, and changemakers across campus. The organizations highlighted below represent just a few of the many groups where our students have found community, developed leadership experience, explored their passions, and created positive change at K-State and beyond.
Social Transformation Studies Ambassadors
Lead. Connect. Inspire.
Hosted by the department, Social Transformation Studies Ambassadors are majors, minors, and certificate students who are passionate about exploring race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, culture, identity, social justice, and systems of power. Ambassadors represent the program by sharing their experiences with prospective students, participating in outreach events, and helping others discover how Social Transformation Studies can prepare them to make a meaningful impact in their careers and communities.

American Ethnic Studies Multicultural Coalition (The Coalition)
Advocating for inclusion and representation.
The Coalition promotes intellectual diversity and works to increase the visibility, inclusion, and representation of historically underrepresented communities at K-State. Members engage in advocacy, educational initiatives, and community-building efforts that help foster a more inclusive and equitable campus environment.
Native American Student Body (NASB)
Building community, celebrating culture, and creating visibility.
NASB brings together Native American and Indigenous students while promoting understanding of Native cultures, histories, and contemporary experiences across campus. Through cultural events, educational programs, and community engagement, members build connections, celebrate identity, and contribute to a campus culture grounded in respect, belonging, and inclusion.
Feminists Igniting Resistance and Empowerment (FIRE)
Learn. Discuss. Advocate.
FIRE creates a welcoming and intersectional space for students interested in feminism, social justice, and social change. Through conversations, educational programming, advocacy, and community-building activities, members explore important issues, share perspectives, and develop the confidence and skills to make their voices heard.
Black Student Union (BSU)
Leadership, community, and cultural celebration.
BSU supports the academic, personal, and professional success of Black students while celebrating and promoting Black culture throughout the K-State community. Through leadership opportunities, advocacy, educational programs, and cultural events, members build meaningful connections and contribute to a more inclusive campus experience.
Students for Environmental Action (SEA)
Creating a more sustainable future.
SEA brings together students who are passionate about sustainability, environmental justice, conservation, and community engagement. Members participate in service projects, educational events, advocacy efforts, and sustainability initiatives that support environmental responsibility on campus and beyond.
Latinas Unidas Poderosas y Educadas (LUPE)
Empowering Latina students through community, culture, and leadership.
LUPE provides a welcoming and empowering space where Latina students can build lasting connections, develop leadership skills, and celebrate their diverse experiences and identities. Guided by its pillars of unity, community, health, cultural awareness, and future success, LUPE supports personal and professional growth while fostering a strong sense of belonging.
No Patient Untreated
Promoting health equity and serving the community.
No Patient Untreated is dedicated to expanding access to healthcare and supportive services for underserved populations in the Manhattan community. Through volunteerism, fundraising, and partnerships with the Manhattan Free Clinic, members gain hands-on experience in service, advocacy, and community engagement while working to make healthcare more accessible for all.
Triota Honor Society
Recognizing academic excellence and leadership.
Triota (Iota Iota Iota) is the national honor society for Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies. The K-State chapter celebrates academic achievement while fostering feminist values, leadership, diversity, and community. Membership is open to eligible undergraduate and graduate students who have demonstrated academic excellence and a strong commitment to the field.

KSU Gender Collective
A supportive community celebrating gender diversity.
The Gender Collective provides a welcoming space for students whose gender identities, expressions, or experiences may differ from traditional expectations. Through education, advocacy, outreach, and community-building activities, members work to promote understanding, inclusion, and support for people of all gender identities both at K-State and in the broader community.

Sexuality and Gender Alliance (SAGA)
Everyone belongs here.
SAGA is a welcoming and affirming community for LGBTQ+ students and allies. Through social events, educational programs, advocacy, and community-building activities, SAGA provides opportunities to connect with others, find support, and contribute to a more inclusive campus culture.
Wildcats Against Sexual Violence (WASV)
Creating a safer, more survivor-centered campus.
WASV works to raise awareness about sexual violence and its impact on college communities. Through education, prevention initiatives, advocacy, and policy engagement, members help promote a campus culture rooted in respect, safety, accountability, and support for survivors.
