Future student scholarships and awards

Step #1: Apply for Admission

Manhattan and Polytechnic campus students

Your first step is to apply for admission by the priority application date associated with your desired entry term for full scholarship consideration. For Manhattan and Polytechnic campus undergraduates, your application for admission will trigger an automatic review of your eligibility for general university scholarships and awards. Additional application steps may be required for graduate students.

Olathe and Global campus students

Step #2 (optional for incoming domestic freshmen): Submit supplemental scholarship applications

Test-optional scholarships

  • Most of the general university scholarships and awards filterable below require you to enter both a GPA and an ACT or SAT score. However, since K-State is a test-optional school for admission starting in fall 2021, the university now also offers scholarships that do not require review of an ACT or SAT score for consideration.
  • You are still encouraged to submit test scores if possible to secure the fastest notification of an award, as test-optional awarding will not begin until January 2021. Updated test scores may also be sent by April 30 of your senior year to maximize your scholarship award.
  • Complete the supplemental test-optional scholarship application by March 15, 2021 for full consideration. Applications received after the March 15 priority date will only be considered as funding is available.

Step #3: Create and submit your K-State Scholarship Network profile

Once you are admitted to the university, you'll also want to create and submit a profile in the K-State Scholarship Network (KSN) system. KSN is a platform for you to share more details about yourself, your academic interests, and your involvement, which then matches you to additional scholarship opportunities. Students attending all K-State campuses are invited to apply for scholarships through KSN.
