FAFSA Priority Date

Like many other colleges and universities, Kansas State University establishes a FAFSA Priority Date each academic year. Although the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) may be completed at any time, students who submit by the priority date are given preferred consideration for certain need-based financial aid programs that have limited funding. For instance, to be fully considered for K-State’s Land Grant Promise program, students must file their FAFSA by the designated FAFSA Priority Date each year.

2027-28 FAFSA Priority Date

The 2027-28 FAFSA Priority Date is December 1, 2026. The 2027-28 application will be available in October 1, 2026.

2026-27 FAFSA Priority Date

The 2026-27 FAFSA Priority Date was December 1, 2025. The 2026-27 application became available October 1, 2025.
