Proposals for mini grants to fund pilot projects
Maximum funding is $5,000/investigator annually. Preference will be given to requests for collection of preliminary data for grant proposals and other projects with potentially high impact. Mini-grants are not meant for routine or otherwise funded core use. If the PI has start-up funds, a 50% match from those funds is expected.
For the purpose of the mini-grant program, a core facility is defined as a shared-use research facility with an approved schedule of charges. Invoices for completed work will be sent to PIs, who will review them and submit them to the Office of Research Development (ord@k-state.edu) for payment.
All applicants must have project approval from facility director prior to applying. Non-faculty members applying must include their supervisor as a co-PI.
Funding requests accepted on a rolling basis.
