Access and Guidelines
Access to the uAchieve self service system is dictated by your access in KSIS. Once authenticated through K-State single sign-on, current and past students will have access to their dashboard. Any staff member with specific KSIS roles will be granted a personalized view through the Advisor dashboard.
A small number of users, with approval by the Office of the Registrar, will be able to access the database that runs self service tool. This is often referred to as the 'client'. To request access to the client, fill out the PDF access form and return it to DARSassist@ksu.edu.
Guidelines for Exceptions
Exceptions are used in student audits to ensure courses are populating correctly in requirements. Not every student fits the perfect 8 semester academic degree map for bachelor programs. Exceptions allow a case by case solution to modifying audits to fit a student's acadeimc profile.
In most cases, exceptions are entered by the degree analysts in each college. Degree analysts are permitted to enter exceptions under college and major requirements ONLY. The Office of the Registrar is the only entity permitted to add exceptions to University requirements (such as K-State Core, University Degree Requirements, 2-yr transfer course requirments, etc.). Failure to comply will lead to the loss of exception access.

Guidelines for Transfer Courses
The Office of Recruitment and Admissions partners with the Office of the Registrar to maintain transfer coursework in our K-State systems. When transcripts are available, the team in ORA works to manually input each course into the uAcheive system. Complex transfer articulations are built for all institutions to establish an understanding of course equivalency to KSU courses. Once courses are added, the transfer equivalency process evaluates the courses in 1.5 seconds. During this time, courses are converted to the KSU equivalent version, the proper condition codes are assigned, and the courses are loaded into PeopleSoft tables (KSIS).
Kansas State University has also partnered with CollegeSource to make TES and Transferology available to all students. These tools make understanding course equivalencies transparent before the student ever applies! Find out more information about transfer courses at K-State Transfer Center.
