Resilient and Secure Power Electronics

We investigate vulnerabilities in converter sensing, communication, and control, including electromagnetic side-channel noise intrusion and manipulated feedback. Our goal is to develop detection, mitigation, and control methods that preserve dependable operation under cyberattacks and physical disturbances.

Networked Power Converters and Scalable Control

We study the coordination of interconnected converters, from fast switching decisions to system-level behavior. Research emphasizes scalable control architectures, converter interactions, and stability and performance under communication delays.

Advanced Power Conversion

We explore converter topologies, modulation, modeling, and control for distributed energy resources and emerging electric infrastructure. Applications include solid-state transformers, grid-connected inverters, and power conversion systems operating under transients and faults.

Intelligent Monitoring and Control of Power-Electronic Systems

We combine physics-based models, digital twins, and data-driven methods to monitor converter behavior and inform control decisions. The focus is on trustworthy intelligence that respects the dynamics and timing requirements of power-electronic systems.
