Policy Review and Development Team

This team's objective is to:

  • Assess and identify a final list of interrelated policies
  • Collaborate with policy owners and governance structures to draft and approve necessary changes.
  • Work to align purchasing process, including 146a adjustments.

Scope

  • Review and update existing policies relevant to digital accessibility.
  • Recommend new policies as needed.
  • Evaluate and propose improvements to the purchasing process.

Deliverables

  • Final list of interrelated policies.
  • List of new policies.
  • Updated policies.

Timeline

  • May – October 2025*
    *Subject to change in consultations with Faculty Senate leadership.

 

Onboarding of Resources and Remediation Tools Team

This team's objective is to:

  • Finalize the list of existing and new remediation tools.
  • Confirm budget requirements and support purchasing.
  • Identify necessary staffing resources and support team formation.
  • Support training for tool implementation.

Scope

  • Evaluate and recommend tools.
  • Determine financial and human resource needs.
  • Provide implementation guidance.

Deliverables

  • List of remediation tools (existing and new).
  • Budget for new resources.
  • Recommended staffing needs.

Timeline

  • May – September 2025

 

Academic Content/Materials Remediation Training/Support Team

This team's objective is to:

  • Develop and support training/workshops for faculty working with Center for Academic Innovation.
  • Engage instructional designers (centralized and de-centralized) in roll-out plan.
  • Support faculty understanding of remediation resources.

Scope

  • Consult during vendor onboarding process.
  • Training development and delivery.
  • Faculty engagement and guidance.

Deliverables

  • Faculty training sessions and workshops.
  • Remediation support workshops.

Timeline

  • May – December 2025

 

Web Content/Materials Remediation Training/Support Team

This team's objective is to:

  • Develop and deliver training for staff and faculty.
  • Promote understanding of tools and processes for web content remediation.

Scope

  • Consult during remediation vendor onboarding process.
  • Identify staff who will remediate existing template/component issues within CMS prior to August 2025.
  • Support individual and unit-level implementation through trainings/workshops.
  • Ongoing web editor engagement and guidance.

Deliverables

  • Faculty and staff training sessions.
  • Remediation support workshops.
  • Remediated CMS templates/components.

Timeline

  • May – December 2025

 

Staffing and Structures Team

This team's objective is to:

  • Recommend temporary staffing and personnel resources.
  • Propose a permanent structure to ensure ongoing compliance and oversight.

Scope

  • Review current support needs.
  • Propose organizational structure and staffing for sustainability.

Deliverables

  • Recommendations for short-term remediation staffing (if needed).
  • Permanent staffing structure proposal.

Timeline

  • May – April 2026
