What is your earliest K-State memory?

My earliest K-State memory is seeing The Great Room (aka the Harry Potter Room) in Hale Library while visiting K-State for an FFA competition.

Why did you choose K-State?

I chose K-State because it felt like home. Everyone I met was very friendly and I loved the programs and supports that were in place to help me succeed as a student. There are also so many ways to get involved and personally develop my leadership skills.

How are you involved at K-State?

I am extremely involved in fraternity & sorority life. I am a member of a sorority where I have held a non-exec and exec position. In addition, I have served on Panhellenic Council for two years, been an FSL Ambassador for three years, and been an Order of Omega member for a year. I am also a member of the HDFS Student organization.

What has been your favorite K-State experience?

My favorite K-State experience so far has been planning sorority recruitment this year! We had over 500 women go through the process to find the sorority that fits them best. I oversaw planning the event as well as coordinating with all 13 recruitment teams to ensure that each sorority chapter was having the best experience possible. Overall, it was an extremely rewarding experience and an amazing opportunity to develop my organizational, social, and leadership skills.

How does K-State care for Kansans in your hometown community?

K-State offers a wide variety of scholarships to help financially support students and offers many notable programs (like the K-State extension office) to provide support and resources for everyone in the community.

Why do you want to bring K-State to your community?

K-State has provided me with an outlet to acquire and expand on skills that I might not otherwise have. Additionally, it allowed me to grow my network with a variety of friends, educators, and professional contacts. I have learned so much, and grown in so many ways, that I want to encourage people to join the K-State community to have the same amazing experiences I have!
