Advice for Pre-Dentistry Students
- Take the highest-level courses available to you, particularly in math and science.
- Gain experience through shadowing, internships or volunteers
- Ask questions of field professionals to help narrow down your interests and future career goals
- While a particular major is not required for application to dentistry programs, the most common majors are biochemistry, biology, chemistry, integrative physiology, kinesiology, life science, nutrition and health, psychology and business.
