Manufacturing

front_bellcranks

The team begins manufacturing in the winter, with a large portion of the work being done between the fall and spring semesters. Most of the parts are manufactured in house by our team members and several sponsors help us make parts as well. For many of our team members, their favorite part of being on the team is getting the chance to build hands-on skills when working in our shop. We use many different manufacturing processes to build the car, below is a list of some of the processes we use:

  • CNC
  • Mill
  • Lathe
  • Welding
  • Sheeting Metal Fabrication
  • Laser cutting
  • Water Jet
  • Carbon Fiber Layup
  • Powder Coating
  • Anodizing
  • 3D Printing
