Go to class! Use a planner, manage your schedule, take care of yourself, and don’t miss classes or get behind on homework. It’s hard to catch up!

Your professors are here to help you. Take advantage of their office hours, weekly times set aside for you to drop by and ask questions about courses, assignments, and study tips.

Want help with study skills or finding a tutor? The Academic Achievement Center is your one-stop shop for personalized support with your classes. In addition, several departments offer tutoring. Modern languages provides tutoring, group study and advising in the Kirmser Language Center, and math, physics and statistics’ Quantitative Learning Center offers free, drop-in assistance for undergraduate math courses from 9:30-5:30 weekdays.

Get involved! K-State has lots of fun events and student organizations you can join! Take those opportunities to meet new people or reconnect with old friends (other students are nervous and trying to make friends too). Don’t miss the Activities Carnival at 6-8 p.m. Thu., Aug. 28, in the Union.
