McCain Performance Series kicks off new season with comedy show

Kansas State University's McCain Performance Series kicks off this month with a comedy show sure to fill McCain with the sound of laughter. Improv comedy group The Second City will present "Laughing for All the Wrong Reasons" at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24.

"Laughing for All the Wrong Reasons" is a hilarious celebration of comedy that draws on The Second City's legendary archive of iconic sketches and songs alongside the razor-sharp improvisation that has defined the company for generations. The show dives headfirst into the material audiences love most: unforgettable characters, classic moments and brilliantly irreverent comedy created by some of the most influential voices in entertainment, including Catherine O'Hara, Tina Fey, Keegan-Michael Key, Amber Ruffin, Stephen Colbert, Tim Meadows, Bill Murray, Tim Robinson, Eugene Levy, Adam McKay and many more.

Brought to the McCain stage by an exceptional cast, "Laughing for All the Wrong Reasons" is a comedy show that makes you laugh harder because it's so true. The show will contain adult humor and is not appropriate for children under 13.

Tickets are available online at mccain.k-state.edu or at the ticket office in the McCain lobby from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays. Tickets are also available by phone at 785-532-6428 during the same hours.

Discounts are available for bundling your choice of seven or more events as a package or purchasing as a group of 10 or more. Youth tickets are 50% off general public prices for patrons ages 17 and younger. Discounts of 10% are also available for active military, K-State faculty and staff, and seniors (65+). Valid IDs will be required.
