Annual Security and Fire Safety Report notification for the campus community

Kansas State University is committed to providing a safe environment for all members of the K-State community.

As part of that commitment and in accordance with federal requirements, K-State publishes an Annual Security and Fire Safety, or Clery, Report. The report provides information about campus safety, university policies, crime and fire statistics and programs and resources available to the university community.

The 2026 combined report for the Manhattan, Salina and Olathe campuses includes statistics for calendar years 2023-25.

K-State provides programs and resources to help members of the university community understand their responsibilities and contribute to campus safety. These include campus security authority training, ALICE active shooter training, alcohol and drug education, the K-State Safe app and residence hall fire safety programs.

The REPORT IT website provides a centralized location for reporting concerns and incidents, including Clery Act crimes, conduct concerns, discrimination and harassment, hazing, work-related incidents, access barriers and incidents involving minors.

Alcohol and other drug policies

K-State notifies students, faculty and staff annually about university alcohol and other drug policies, available programs, associated health risks, standards of conduct, disciplinary sanctions, and federal and state legal sanctions.

President Linton’s annual notification is available on the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act webpage.

Keeping K-State safe depends on the cooperation and involvement of the university community. Taking the time to review these resources helps maintain a safe and healthy campus.
