K-State to host Manhattan Chamber Business After Hours at the K-State Gardens

Kansas State University will host the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce's Business After Hours on Sept. 9 at the K-State Gardens, bringing together business, community and campus leaders for an evening of networking and professional development.

Business After Hours is the Chamber's signature networking event, drawing professionals from across the Manhattan region to build relationships and learn more about organizations contributing to the community's growth.

Showcasing K-State's community connections

This year's event will feature several of K-State's cultural and community assets: the Marianna Kistler Beach Museum of Art, McCain Auditorium, K-State Gardens, and Military and Veterans Affairs. Representatives from each area will be on hand to talk about their programs, community engagement work and ways to get involved.

"K-State is deeply connected to the Manhattan community, and Business After Hours provides an excellent opportunity to highlight the people, programs and partnerships that enrich our region," said Ernie Minton, interim associate vice president for extension and outreach.

Registration information

Because K-State is a member of the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce, all K-State employees are eligible for the Chamber member rate. Attendees are encouraged to register in advance.

Registration rates:

• $10 for preregistered and prepaid Chamber members, including K-State employees, by noon on the day of the event
• $15 for walk-in attendees

Attendees can also enter drawings for a variety of K-State-themed raffle items.

Whether you're a longtime Chamber member or new to the Manhattan community, this is a good chance to make a few connections and see the Gardens in September.
