Finalists announced for dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine

The search committee for the dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine announces four finalists who will interview for the position and invites you to attend the open forums presented by each candidate.

All open forums on the following dates will take place from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the Boehringer Ingelheim Auditorium in Mosier Hall. All open forums will be immediately followed by a 30-minute reception in the atrium.

  • Elizabeth Davis, professor and interim dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University, will interview on March 2-3. The open forum will be on Monday, March 2.
  • Annette O’Connor, professor, senior associate dean for faculty and administrative affairs, and interim associate dean of student engagement and success in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University, will interview on March 4-5. The open forum will be on Wednesday, March 4.
  • Melinda Camus, professor and associate dean for academic affairs in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Auburn University, will interview on March 9-10. The open forum will be on Monday, March 9.
  • Andrew Mackin, professor and head of the clinical sciences department in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University, will interview on March 11-12. The open forum will be on Wednesday, March 11.

K-State faculty, staff and students are encouraged to review the application materials and attend each open forum and Q&A session titled, "Preparing Veterinary Medicine for the Future Through Integrated Instruction, Research, Service and Community Engagement."

Application materials and an itinerary for each candidate are available on the provost's administrative search website. Please be prepared to enter your K-State eID and password to access the information. For those unable to attend in person, the open forums will be streamed live and archived on the provost's search website.

There will also be an online candidate feedback survey available on that website. Each feedback survey will close at 5 p.m. two business days following each candidate's open forum, and the presentation will be removed from the website at that time.

Oral or written feedback on the candidates may also be directed to members of the search committee. Please provide feedback by Friday, March 13.
