Provost names search committee for dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine

Jesse Perez Mendez, provost and executive vice president, has appointed the committee to lead a national search for Kansas State University's next dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine.

Hans Coetzee, a university distinguished professor and vice president for research, will chair this search committee. The university has engaged the services of Greenwood Asher & Associates, an executive search firm, to support the process.

Search committee members are:

  • Matt Basel, associate professor in anatomy and physiology department
  • Amy Brusk, lead grant/contract specialist in the College of Veterinary Medicine
  • Patricia Burris, clinical research veterinarian at Hill's Pet Nutrition
  • Anri Celliers, assistant professor in clinical sciences department
  • Natalia Cernicchiaro, professor in diagnostic medicine and pathobiology department
  • Kamilyah Miller, assistant professor in diagnostic medicine and pathobiology department and section head of parasitology in the Kansas State Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory
  • Derek A. Mosier, professor and head of diagnostic medicine and pathobiology department
  • Ellyn R. Mulcahy, professor in diagnostic medicine and pathobiology department, director of the Master of Public Health program and director of the K-State Public Health program
  • Brad Rea, administrative director of the Veterinary Health Center
  • Jamie Retallick, professor in diagnostic medicine and pathobiology department and director of the Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory
  • Jürgen A. Richt, regents and university distinguished professor in diagnostic medicine and pathobiology department, eminent scholar for Kansas Bioscience Authority, director of the Center of Excellence for Emerging and Zoonotic Animal Diseases, and director of the NIH COBRE Center on Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases
  • Jenna Rogind, College of Veterinary Medicine class of 2028, class president
  • James K. Roush, professor and associate dean for academic programs and student success in the College of Veterinary Medicine
  • Joel Sanneman, director of the Biomedical Core Facility in the College of Veterinary Medicine
  • Lynn Stucky, veterinarian and 1983 College of Veterinary Medicine alumnus
  • Marty Vanier, associate director of the Biosecurity Research Institute and director of the National Agricultural Biosecurity Center
  • Sheila Walker, associate vice president of development at the KSU Foundation
  • Brad White, professor in the clinical sciences department and director of the Beef Cattle Institute
