On the Spot Improv hosts free shows, public workshop
On the Spot Improv, Kansas State University's premier improv comedy team, will host free shows and an open workshop for Wildcats and Manhattan community members as part of Delfest, the group's annual collegiate improv comedy festival.
Delfest is named after the iconic actor, comedian, improviser, Manhattan native and K-State alumnus Del Close. K-State will enter two professional teams, joining other festival attendees from Manhattan, Ohio State University, Ball State University, the University of Missouri, the University of Kansas, and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Free improv festival performances will take place from 8-10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, at Chapman Theatre in Nichols Hall, and from 7-10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at Forum Hall in the K-State Student Union.
As part of Delfest, On the Spot Improv invites the K-State and Manhattan community to an open workshop where attendees will learn and practice the basics of improvisation and bolster public speaking skills
The workshop will take place from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, in Room 1078 of the Business Building.
