Cats' Cupboard seeks advisory board members

Cats' Cupboard — K-State's campus food pantry — is accepting applications for its advisory board.
The Cats' Cupboard Advisory Board has up to three openings for members from the greater Manhattan community and up to four openings for current K-State students. There are currently no openings for K-State faculty or staff.
A recent American College Health Association National College Health Assessment, conducted at Kansas State University in the spring of 2024, found that 43% of students surveyed reported experiencing low to very low food security, meaning they have limited or uncertain access to adequate food.
Cats' Cupboard provides K-Staters with access to food and support through initiatives that promote health, success, well-being and a food-secure future.
The organization seeks individuals with the passion and capacity to advise, assist, support and advocate for programs and initiatives that promote food security at K-State. The advisory board meets three times a year — in person when possible, with virtual attendance available upon request — and includes K-State students, faculty, staff and area community members. Member terms are three years, and consistent meeting attendance is strongly encouraged.
Applications are open through Jan. 1, 2026.
