Extension and Engagement Week offers opportunities to learn, lead and engage

You’ll find stories of Kansas State University engagement across campuses and across the state.

K-State Extension delivers K-State's research-based knowledge directly to all 105 Kansas counties through innovative programming, educational opportunities and community partnerships that address local needs.

Through work with the Kansas Water Institute, K-State tackles key water resource challenges across the state through an interdisciplinary approach supported by research, teaching and engagement.

Recently, at the Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson, K-Staters expanded the university's annual presence with Wildcat Wednesday — a day to paint the fair purple and bring K-State experiences to fairgoers.

Many of these engagement stories and more will be highlighted during the upcoming Extension and Engagement Week, Oct. 20-24. With the Next-Gen K-State theme to "integrate engagement across all we do," the week will feature dialogue, lectures, professional development training sessions and other events to celebrate community, connection and opportunity.

In addition to the K-State Extension Annual Conference, the week will also highlight topics such as leading for impact, dialogue and discovery surrounding adult ADHD, artificial intelligence, engaging with media, and bringing ideas beyond the lab or classroom.
