Time and leave training begins Sept. 29

With the launch of the university’s new time and leave system just around the corner Oct. 26, signing up for training has never been more important.

The new system will impact all faculty, staff and student employees. To get comfortable with the system before its launch, attend an in-person training session for your specific college or unit. General university sessions also are available on Zoom if you can’t attend in person. Note: A special session is available for nine-month employees who are not supervisors.

A hand holds out a Wildcat ID card with the Kansas State University mascot as the name and photo on the ID card.

Nonexempt and student employees who punch in using a time clock will need to have a vertical Wildcat OneCard ID to ensure time is collected for payroll processing.

Registration is required for all sessions.

Nearly 3,900 employees have signed up already for training, which starts Sept. 29 and continues over the next few weeks.

Time clocks are available on campus for nonexempt employees to use for logging their work hours. If you are a nonexempt or student employee who clocks in and out using a time clock, you will need to have a vertical Wildcat OneCard ID to ensure your time is collected for payroll processing. The older horizontal IDs will not work with the new time clocks.

When you go to the K-State ID Center or mobile badging unit, please bring your current horizontal ID card to turn in.

Students and employees can obtain a Wildcat OneCard replacement by visiting the K-State ID Center on the ground floor of the Student Union to have their photo taken and card processed.

They may also visit a pop-up mobile badge unit at one of the scheduled places/times listed below:

  • 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29, McCain Auditorium lobby .
  • 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, K-State Alumni Center .

Visit the time and leave webpage for FAQs and more information about training and the time and leave project.
