New time and leave system set for fall launch across all campuses

Kansas State University's new universal time and leave system is steadily advancing toward its planned fall launch across the Manhattan, Salina and Olathe campuses.

The new time and leave system will impact every faculty member, staff employee and student worker employed at K-State. This includes nonexempt, hourly staff who clock in and out, as well as student workers; exempt, salaried staff who request leave; and supervisors who approve timecards and leave requests.

Your time is valuable, and the new system is designed to make managing it easier. It replaces multiple systems with one streamlined, user-friendly experience.

The new system will include a clock-in and clock-out using a time clock, online portal or mobile app. You can quickly check your hours, request time off and see your leave balances. Supervisors can easily approve timecards and leave requests.

The time and leave project team is busy testing the new system, focusing on the user experience and improving processes for employees, supervisors, timekeepers and administrators. The team has also made significant progress on data integrations between the new system and our Human Resources Information System, HRIS, as well as process improvements that will be recognized by Human Resources, HR liaisons and payroll during the biweekly payroll cycle.

To help everyone get comfortable with the new system, HR will offer training and support tailored for timekeepers, exempt and non-exempt employees, and supervisors. More information is coming soon!

In the meantime, visit the time and leave webpage  for updates, FAQs and a list of project influencers who can help keep you informed.
