Wednesday, April 2, 2025
Kansas State University’s Risk Management Center is now accepting applications for the 2025-2026 class of student fellows. The deadline to apply has been extended to Friday, April 11.
In today's unpredictable world, effective risk management is crucial across all industries. The Risk Management Center at K-State prepares students to identify, assess and mitigate risks while also capitalizing on opportunities. Through a combination of theoretical knowledge and hands-on experiences, students develop practical skills and expand their professional networks, ensuring they are well-equipped to succeed in their future careers.
The risk management fellowship offers experiential learning opportunities aimed at enhancing students' understanding of comprehensive risk. Participants engage in guest lectures, site visits, interdisciplinary research projects and networking events with industry executives. Their fellowship experiences position them as future risk management leaders.
The Risk Management Center’s approach to educating student-fellows has three distinguishing features. They create an interdisciplinary learning environment, focus on enterprise and integrated risk management across an organization, and root themselves in experiential learning, which combines academic coursework, extracurricular engagement and linkages to industry.
