Through scholarship/research, service, and production, the theatre program seeks to train future artists, scholars and teachers of theatre, and to inform the non-major, the university at large, and the surrounding community of the value of theatre to individuals and society.

One of the ways we aim to accomplish our mission is through a broad and rigorous curriculum. The required courses for the major and the minor are outlined in the course study guide (pdf). Furthermore, there are numerous classes in all theatre disciplines that are based solely on student need and interest. This flexibility allows the faculty and the students to tailor their education to their needs and wants moreso than other more regimented B.F.A. programs.

If you would like more information about our courses, please contact Jennifer Vellenga, program director of Theatre at vellenga@ksu.edu.
