Music Major for a Day
Wednesday, November 18, 2026
Hosted by the K-State Music Program
Sponsored by the K-State School of Music Theatre, and Dance
This event is open to 30 juniors and seniors. If more than 30 students register, then participants will be selected by lottery. You will be contacted by email once registration is closed to confirm your spot. The registration deadline is November 4.
Students will experience a typical day as a music major. Participants will have the opportunity to visit campus, observe classes and ensembles, talk with current music students, get advice on preparing to be a music major, ask questions to the faculty, and experience lunch at an on-campus dining facility.
Registration is currently closed for the 2026 Music Major for a Day. If you are still interested in attending, please email Dr. Peter Weinert (pweinert@ksu.edu) regarding event availability.
