Choral Ensembles
K-State Choirs currently boasts eight choral ensembles representing a wide variety of repertoires and styles. The K-State Choirs have been featured at conferences regionally, nationally, and internationally, including the Kansas Music Educators Association and American Choral Directors Association conferences. K-State has a rich history of international choral tours with recent international tours including Vienna and Prague (2009), Italy (2011), France (2014), Ireland (2017), and London/Cambridge (2022).
All students enrolled at Kansas State University, regardless of major, are welcome to participate in the choral ensembles. For information on signing with the K-State Choirs, please complete the Prospective Student Form. Select choirs hold auditions at the beginning of each semester, however, interested students should feel free to contact the Choral Office at any time with questions.

Collegiate Chorale

Collegiate Chorale is a select large mixed ensemble comprised of students from a variety of majors across campus. This ensemble performs standard concert literature and focuses on the development of skills in concert performance and music literacy.
Concert Choir
M-F 12:30-1:20pm
Concert Choir is a select mixed choir of music majors and non-major students. The ensemble explores a variety of genres and tours regularly on the state, national, and international levels. Most recently, they have been invited to perform at the National Collegiate Choral Organization Conference (2019), the Southwestern ACDA Conference (2022), and the Kauffman Center (2022). They recently enjoyed a tour throughout London and Cambridge in May 2022.
In-A-Chord

In-A-Chord is the premier auditioned a cappella group at Kansas State University. They perform a wide variety of pop/contemporary music. In-A-Chord performs a number of concerts throughout Kansas and surrounding states, and they were selected to perform at the National A Cappella Conference in Memphis and for the Southwestern ACDA Conference in Kansas City. Madrigal & Motet Ensemble

Madrigal & Motet Ensemble is select, mixed-voice chamber ensemble specializing in one-on-a-part performance of repertoire from the Middle Ages to the 18th Century. "MaMo" frequently performs with Collegium Musicum and the K-State Recorder Consort. Contact davidwood@ksu.edu to set up an audition.

Collegium Musicum - Early Music Ensemble

Collegium Musicum is a vocal and instrumental ensemble with an emphasis on historically-informed performance of music from the Middle Ages to the 18th Century.
University Treble Choir
M,W,F 2:30-3:20pm
The University Treble Choir is comprised primarily of non-music majors. Treble Choir gives students with treble voices the opportunity to express their love of music through performance and meet a wide variety of peers who share a common interest in music. Treble Choir is non-auditioned, and any student can add the course. They were selected for performance at the 2013 KMEA conference.
Grand Chorus

Grand Chorus is a large chorus comprised of members of Concert Choir, Collegiate Chorale, and others which combines with professional orchestra members as the foundation of the "Rhapsody!" scholarship concert event every in the spring semester. Performance repertoire has included the Brahms' German Requiem (2014), Dan Forrest's Requiem (2015), and Carl Orff's Carmina Burana (2016), A Night at the Movies (2017), Duruflé's Requiem (2018), and Mozart's Requiem (2019)
University Chorus
T,Th 1:30-2:20pm; Spring only
University Chorus is a non-auditioned, mixed chorus comprised of music majors and non-music majors. The chorus also serves as the School's choral laboratory ensemble co-conducted by graduate students and senior music education students who are completing or have completed their advanced choral conducting classes.
