Scholar Eligibility
General Eligibility
- You must be pursuing a B.S. degree in a LSAMP approved STEM discipline
- First year, second year, and third year undergraduate students are eligible to apply.
- Note to seniors: Applicants must have at least two semesters left before graduation.
- Must be a US citizen or permanent resident
- Must meet academic eligibility
- Graduate students are not eligible to apply (but there are volunteer opportunities)
1) Academic eligibility criteria for incoming FIRST YEAR students:
- Must be accepted for admission at Kansas State University
- Complete pre-college curriculum with at least a 2.0 GPA (in-state and non-residents)
2) Academic eligibility criteria for CURRENTLY ENROLLED students at Kansas State University:
- Must currently be and plan to continue as a full-time undergraduate student (12+ hours per semester)
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 at K-State (contact lsamp@ksu.edu if your GPA is below the minimun, there are still opportunities to participate in the program)
3) Academic eligibility criteria for students TRANSFERRING to Kansas State University:
- Must be accepted for admission at Kansas State University
- Must plan to continue as a full-time undergraduate student (12+ hours per semester)
- Minimum GPA of 2.0 upon entering K-State
4) Previously funded KS-LSAMP students please contact the KS-LSAMP project coordinator for more details about the program
Application deadlines
Applicants are accepted on a rolling basis.
For all students, please apply by:
- Completing the Student Application Form and return to Dr. Brenee King at lsamp@ksu.edu or 215 Fairchild Hall
- Providing a class schedule for the semester in which you are applying
