Pam is from Canton, Ohio, and received a B.A. in Chemistry from the College of Wooster. She has been a research assistant ever since in the departments of Biochemistry (PI Tadashi Inagami) and Chemistry (PIs Thomas Harris and Carmelo Rizzo) at Vanderbilt University, and Biology (PI Ruth Welti) and Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics (PI Tim Durrett) at Kansas State University.

Pam joined Kansas State and the Kansas Lipidomics Research Center in 2005 and is the safety contact person in the lab. She performs a variety of lab tasks, such as sample extraction and preparation, plant handling and experiments, data analysis, and manuscript/grant editing. She is responsible for QTOF exact mass spectral analysis of lipid samples, leading to formula/structural proof, and works with collaborators to provide lipidomic and protein analyses.
