SHARE Study
Student Health, Adjustment, and Relationship Experiences (SHARE)

The purpose of this study is to evaluate a model of intimate partner violence among college students. Individuals who are current undergraduate students between the ages of 18 and 24 at 15 colleges and universities are being recruited to participate in this study.
If you choose to participate in this study, you will be asked to complete two confidential online surveys, six months apart. These surveys will ask you about your attitudes toward yourself and other groups of individuals (including LGBQ+ individuals), your psychological adjustment, social support, and alcohol use. You will also be asked questions about your experiences in romantic and sexual relationships, including whether you experienced unwanted sex or aggressive behavior from a dating or sexual partner. Completing both surveys should take approximately 60 minutes (30 minutes today and 30 minutes on the survey in about six months). To be eligible to participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old and no more than 24 years old and a current student at a participating university.

Researchers at East Carolina University (ECU) and the University of Nebraska Lincoln (UNL) study issues related to society, health problems, environmental problems, behavior problems, and the human condition. To do this, we need the help of volunteers who are willing to take part in research.
