Furniture Amnesty Day

A partnership with the City of Manhattan

This annual event helps reduce waste and help families in need by offering donated, used furniture to the public at no cost. HandsOn partners with the City of Manhattan for this community-wide event.

The 2026 event

8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Friday, July 24
NEW location: K-State campus parking lot A2

• Parking lot A2 on the K-State campus
• Located on the southeast corner of campus near the Beach Art Museum.
• Volunteers, donors, and shoppers will all enter on Vattier Street, from N. Manhattan Ave.
• Volunteers will direct traffic upon entry.
• Shopping signup will open at 8 a.m. Shopping times will begin at 11 a.m. After your signup is complete, exit the location to ease traffic congestion. Return at your designated shopping time.

When?

Furniture Amnesty Day usually takes place one day in July.

Where?

The event takes place parking lot A2 on the K-State Manhattan campus.

Who?

All members of the K-State and local community are invited to:

• Donate used furniture
• Shop new-to-you furniture
• Volunteer on the day of the event
