Congratulations to the third cohort of Robert E. Campbell Scholars
The Staley School of Leadership announces the third cohort of Robert E. Campbell Scholars. This scholarship cohort, a part of the University Honors Program, includes first-time freshmen, transfer students, and international students. They represent six colleges and many different majors.
“These are the best and brightest students in this incoming freshman class. We have high expectations for them,” said Campbell McNorton, program administrator for the University Honors Program.
Eight percent of the Kansas State University fall 2026 incoming class are honors students. These students have an average ACT 28 and a GPA score of 4.09. Out of incoming class of honors students, 30 were selected as Campbell Scholars, marking them as representatives of the K-State University Honors Program.
These students were selected because the Honors program is confident in their ability to balance program requirements, coursework and participation in the K-State community while upholding university values.
Campbell Scholars receive $6,000 per year, renewable for up to four years. The scholarship was made possible by Robert "Bob" E. Campbell, a first-generation student who graduated from K-State with a degree in business administration in 1950 and went on to launch his own company, Robert E. Campbell Oil and Gas Operations.
