The Transmutation

This mural, by artist and former K-Stater Armando Minjárez, was added to the Leadership Studies Buidling in spring 2026, and unveiled at Spirit of Leadership in March 2026.

Inspired by a K-State student-created mural from 1980 that now resides in Hale Library titled, We Are the Dream, this nearly 85' mural includes depictions of two students who led the 1980s project, Harold Carter and Teresa Guillen.

K-State art students Sue Fang and Rita Hawzipta assisted Minjárez with the work, gaining experience and insight into his process and passion.
