Additional Security Provisions for September 6 Lecture
All attendees will be required to pass through metal detectors when entering McCain Auditorium, and the clear bag policy used for K-State sporting events will be in effect for this lecture.
Guests will be able to carry the following style and size bag, package or container into the venue:
- Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12."
- One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).
- Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the venue with one of the clear plastic bags.
- An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection.
Prohibited items include, but are not limited to: purses larger than a clutch bag, briefcases, backpacks, computer bags, and camera bags or any bag larger than the permissible size.
Bag Check
A bag check will be provided on the west side of McCain Auditorium starting at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, September 6, 2019. Lecture attendees who do not have a clear bag are able to leave their bag with the bag check tent. The bag check station will tag the bag and give a claim ticket to the bag owner. Bag owners are able to pick up their bag immediately after the lecture at the bag check tent.
Prohibited Items and Actions
- Alcoholic beverages
- Noisemakers
- Food and/or beverages
- Throwing of any objects
- Standing in aisles
- Possession of firearms, explosives (including fireworks) or other weapons
- Posters and/or signs
