Bangladeshi Students' Association to host food festival Nov. 4

Submitted by Shanjeeda Akter

The Bangladeshi Students' Association at K-State invites you to the Bangladeshi Food Festival from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at Frith Community Center at Jardine Apartments.

Join us for an afternoon with traditional foods from Bangladesh, including chicken biryani; egg curry and mixed vegetables; fish kabab; chomchom, a specialty sweet; firni, a traditional custard; drinks; music and lots of fun.

Biryani is a colorful, extravagant dish prepared with aromatic rice, a choice of meat, yogurt, spice and onions. Chomchom is a traditional Bengali sweet made from milk cream, and firni is a custard with unique flavor and texture, prepared from milk, aromatic rice, sugar and nuts, scented with rose water.

Register for the event by buying tickets at the K-State Student Union from noon to 1 p.m. on Oct. 27, 30 and 31, or online using PayPal/Venmo. The flyer below contains contact details and a QR code for online registration.
