Art and Math Seminar meets April 13

Knot Fourier series images

The online Art and Math Seminar will host a talk, "Lovely Tangles: Fourier Series for Mathematical Art," from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 13. The speaker is Frank A. Farris, chair of the department of mathematics and computer science at Santa Clara University.

Meetings of the online Art and Math Seminar are dedicated to collaborations between artists and scientists. The seminar organizers invite faculty and students to join for inspiration in scientific visualization of research and pedagogy and glimpses of modern mathematics.
