Engineers Without Borders to host Eat Bread to Raise Dough Nov. 4

Submitted by Danielle Larson

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, have you stopped to consider the meaning of the holiday? What are some things you are grateful for?

Being a student may seem hard, but there are people elsewhere in the world who are in dire need of help. Around the globe, communities face droughts, food shortages and economic losses without access to the technical knowledge needed for a comprehensive solution. These are the communities that Engineers Without Borders help.

On Nov. 4, partner with Engineers Without Borders, a registered departmental student organization, and Panera to bring clean water and advanced agriculture to our communities in Nicaragua. For the entire day, if you purchase a meal and show the cashier a physical or digital flyer, 20% of proceeds go directly toward funding our projects. These projects include constructing sustainable irrigation systems, designing ways to access clean water, and building a school in Guatemala.

Help us make the world a better place, one meal at a time!
