Geology department hosts Fulbright international scholar

Dr. Abelwahhab touring K-state Student Union

Mohammad Abdelwahhab arrived at K-State on Feb. 4 to begin a nine-month visit as an international Fulbright postdoctoral scholar hosted by the geology department. 

Abdelwaahhab will conduct research in the area of exploration seismology and petroleum geology.

Associate professors Abdelmoneam Raef and Matthew Totten are his main collaborators during his stay. He also is interested in collaborating with several geology faculty with matching interest. 

Abdelwahhab was awarded a competitive Fulbright research grant as a faculty at Al-Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt.
