What is a 360 Review?

The 360° review is a professional feedback opportunity which enables teams and managers to provide feedback to their colleagues in an anonymous fashion. The objective of the 360° review is to give the employee the opportunity to understand how their work is viewed by those across the organization. Feedback about an employee’s knowledge, skills and contributions is solicited from all directions. Typically, this includes upward feedback from their direct reports, peer feedback from those they work closely with, downward feedback from their manager and self-feedback to provide an opportunity to reflect on oneself.

The feedback helps the employee gain self-awareness, understand their strengths and opportunities for improvement, and helps with establishing a personal development plan. The outcomes of the reviews not only help the individual employees, but the organization as well by strengthening accountability and collaboration among teams.

Using a 360° review provides different perspectives from people who work with you in different capacities. Getting feedback from peers allows you to better assess how well you work with others and how effective your communication skills are. Receiving feedback from reports provides greater insights into your leadership skills.

Why is annonymous feedback important?

The anonymity in the review elicits great honesty and candor. The reviewers feel more comfortable giving candid feedback, which is more useful to the employee.

How do I get started?

The link below is for a Qualtric's survey that has all members of ADDAPT loaded into it. There are only a few short questions per 360° survey. Please take the survey for as many members of ADDAPT as you can, given the amount of time and work you have done with that team member. The hope is each respondant can take the survey 10+ times!
