Sara originally grew up in a small town in Wisconsin. She has worked in international education at Roosevelt University and the University of Chicago both in Chicago, Illinois and at the University of Wisconsin-Madison before coming to K-State in 2007 to be the Director of International Student and Scholar Services. She is passionate about traveling and experiencing new cultures. Besides studying in Spain twice, Italy twice, and Cuba, she has spent significant time in Mexico, and traveled to Austria, Belgium, Belize, Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Guatemala, India, The Netherlands, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Switzerland, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, and Vatican City. She is a proud mother to Frida! Sara is very involved professionally in NAFSA: Association of International Educators.
