International Student Scholarships Available at K-State
2026 International Student Scholarships:
OPEN February 18, 2026

Deadline to apply is Tuesday, March 17th, 11:59pm.
The application includes two essay questions about campus and community involvement, and financial need. We will only accept applications that include unique, personally written essays, not AI generated responses. The application also includes a K-State staff or faculty recommendation, which must be uploaded with your application.

OIP Scholarship for International Students
Office of International Programs provides one scholarship annually each Fall to an outstanding international student who has successfully completed at least one semester at K-State and who will be returning for the next school year. Selection will be made in the Spring of each year and funds are available for awarding to begin the following Fall. Please see the guidelines to verify eligibility.
International Student Center Scholarship
The Educational Opportunity Fund aims to provide financial assistance to underrepresented populations. Eight scholarships awarded through the International Student Center are being offered to all international students. Selection will be made in the Spring of each year and funds are available for awarding to begin the following Fall. Please see the guidelines to verify eligibility.
K-State Alumni Association International Student Scholarship
The K-State Alumni Association International Student Scholarships are for current Kansas State University international students. These scholarships are for degree-seeking graduate or undergraduate international students enrolled at the Manhattan, Salina or Olathe campus; whose leadership experience at K-State has helped promote international involvement on campus.
M&H International Scholarship
The purpose of this scholarship is to honor Hwachii Lien and to provide financial assistance to international undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in any curriculum at Kansas State University (including
the English Language Program, and/or other courses of study of at least a semester in
duration).
William L. Richter International Scholarship
This award was established to honor Dr. William L. Richter, the retired Associate Provost for International Programs, and to provide financial assistance to international students properly enrolled in any curriculum at K-State. Preference will be given to international students who have financial need, and show academic potential. Selection will be made in the Spring of each year and funds are available for awarding to begin the following Fall. Please see the guidelines to verify eligibility.
Philip and Jeune Kirmser International Student Scholarship
The purpose of this scholarship is to honor Philip and Jeune Kirmser and to provide financial assistance to students properly enrolled at K-State. The recipient(s) of this scholarship will be a non-resident international undergraduate student(s) properly enrolled in any curriculum at Kansas State University with financial
need. Selection will be made in the Spring of each year and funds are available for awarding to begin the following Fall. Please see the guidelines to verify eligibility.
Costa Rican Student Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Charles and Sharon Reagan to support an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in any curriculum at Kansas State University. The recipient of this scholarship will be a student with financial need residing in Costa Rica. Selection will be made in the Spring of each year and funds are available for awarding to begin the following Fall. Please see the guidelines to verify eligibility.
*Joe Tiao International Student Award
The purpose of this scholarship is to honor Joe Tiao, Kansas State alumnus, benefactor and retired faculty member, and to provide financial assistance for a degree or non-degree student from Taiwan, properly enrolled in any curriculum at Kansas State University. Preference will be given to graduate students or exchange students with financial need and academic potential. Selection will be made in the Spring of each year and funds are available for awarding to begin the following Fall. Please see the guidelines to verify eligibility.
*Do Sup Chung International Scholarship
This award was established to honor Dr. Do Sup Chung and to provide financial assistance to students from the Republic of Korea to attend Kansas State University. The recipient of this scholarship will be a Korean student properly enrolled in any curriculum at Kansas State University, who has financial need and shows academic potential. Selection will be made in the Spring of each year and funds are available for awarding to begin the following Fall. Please see the guidelines to verify eligibility.
