Viktoria was born in Eastern Siberia, Russia but grew up on the Kola Peninsula which lies almost completely to the north of the Arctic Circle. Although she likes the cold weather, she has acclimated to the hot summers in Kansas. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, gardening, traveling, and exploring new cultures.

Viktoria transitioned to the ISSS from K-State’s English Language Program, where she served as a faculty instructor and curriculum coordinator. In this role, she developed courses for both face-to-face and online presentation modes, teaching international students at all levels of English proficiency and at different stages of their academic careers. Viktoria initially came to K-State on a scholarship funded by the U.S. Department of State.
