Clarissa grew up in a small town outside of Kansas City, Missouri. During her undergraduate studies, she participated in both a semester-long study abroad program in Mexico and a short-term program in El Salvador. She was also involved in on-campus initiatives that welcomed international students and promoted study abroad opportunities. These experiences shaped her undergraduate journey and inspired her to continue working with international students. In her free time, Clarissa enjoys crafting, watching movies, and baking.
