ISSS is currently operating remotely, with staff available virtually from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Students should emailisss@ksu.eduor their advisors directly to schedule meetings.
Scholars- Helen Robson will temporarily relocate to 304 Fairchild Hall. The best way to connect with her is via email (arobson@ksu.edu) to schedule an appointment.
*New J-1 scholars who need to check-in upon arrival, must email isss@ksu.edu to schedule a check-in appointment.
Emergencies (or what you may think is an emergency) may arise outside of regular office hours. During emergencies, when ISSS is closed please follow the guidance below.
If you are on Campus
If on campus and not life threatening, call the K-State Police at 785-532-6412
Sign up for K-State Alerts to receive time critical emergency information straight to your phone and k-state email
If you need to report life-threatening emergency, call 911 and explain the situation.
Once you are able, send email to isss@ksu.edu. ISSS will provide assistance and support when the office reopens.

What to do:
Call the Kansas State University Police Department (KSUPD) Call - 785-532-6412
Inform KSUPD you are an international student or scholar and that you have an immigration related emergency. Briefly provide specifics to KSUPD.
KSUPD will contact the ISSS Director to follow up with you.
If possible, also send an email to isss@ksu.edu with details of your immigration related emergency.
NON-Emergency, Immigration Related
If you are traveling without a valid travel signature:
Complete the Travel Signature request form and email it to isss@ksu.edu. Normal processing time is within 2-3 business days when the office is open.
If you will be re-entering the U.S. before the office is open, send an email to isss@ksu.eduto explain your situation and urgency. You should also call KSU PD call - 785-532-6412 to let them know you are trying to connect with ISSS.
If your passport is lost or stolen while you are traveling outside the United States:
Contact your local embassy to apply for a replacement passport.
Note: some embassies require a police report in the case of a stolen passport.
You will not need to pay the I-901 SEVIS fee again. Go to theI-901 fee websiteand click on Check I-901 Status to print a copy of your I-901 payment confirmation receipt.
You will not need to request a new I-20 or DS-2019 UNLESS something has changed from your most recent immigration document (change of program, name change, travel signature expired, etc.).
