Cloud Data Warehouse

Why create a cloud data warehouse?

While some of K-State’s data is centralized in the SQL Server Data Marts and is stored centrally, much of it is siloed and difficult to access. As a result, many of K-State’s processes involve manually gathering data from multiple sources. Creating a cloud data warehouse would move K-State towards a data-informed decision-making culture, improve operational efficiencies and support K-State’s NextGen strategic plan.

A modern data warehouse provides a central repository that integrates academic and administrative data from many disparate sources to support analytics. It supports business intelligence and analytics to create actionable insights, while also improving operational efficiencies.
