Our affordable, common tuition allows you to invest in your future.

Students pay the IDEA common price per credit hour for graduate courses or undergraduate courses at all universities, regardless of degree program or course, or whether in-state or out-of-state.

A team of finance officers from IDEA member universities reviews the common price annually. Please note that the common price is approved by the IDEA Cabinet for the academic year and may change each fall semester.

The common price for the 2026-2027 academic year will remain the same as listed above.

Financial Assistance and Scholarships

Students admitted to a degree program are eligible for financial assistance. Visit Kansas State University's Office of Student Financial Assistance to learn more.

K-State Online Scholarships

K-State Online is proud to offer scholarships specifically for distance students earning their undergraduate or graduate degree online. Students only need to submit the K-State Online Scholarship Application one time per award period, as the information provided on the application will be used to determine the scholarship(s) for which students are eligible. Students must be enrolled in a minimum of three (3) credit hours in the award term.

The IDEA VanNahmen Student Excellence Award

The IDEA Cabinet will grant five (5) $1,000 awards annually for a total of $5,000. Funds may be used for educational expenses such as tuition and books, or towards other costs of attendance like childcare or educational technology. Applications open in early February each year. The K-State IDEA Human Sciences and Community Development Scholarship

The Institute for Academic Alliances, in conjunction with Kansas State University and IDEA, will award ten (10) $1,000 awards annually (three (3) for fall, three (3) for spring, and four (4) for summer). The purpose of this scholarship is to help cover the cost of tuition.

Eligibility
To be eligible for consideration, students must:

  • Plan to be enrolled in a minimum of three (3) credit hours during the semester in which the scholarship is awarded.
  • Be pursuing a master’s degree or graduate certificate in Family & Community Services or Community Development offered through IDEA at Kansas State University.

Application Timeline
Fall applications open early May, spring applications open early October, and summer applications open early February.

The summer 2026 application is now closed. The fall application will open in early May.
