Audience: All employees

Session Description: Whether you work the front line in an office, serve as a full-time faculty member or are a part-time student employee, it is important to be positive and professional during all communications when representing K-State. In order to effectively answer the telephone, you must develop communication skills and accuracy, know how to handle difficult calls, and provide excellent customer service.

Session Objectives: As a result of this session, participants will gain information to assist in the following:

  • Practice effective communication skills.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor during all phone conversations.
  • Implement provided strategies to ensure accurate and complete phone messages.
  • Demonstrate positive voice inflection during all phone conversations.
