Policy Agreement Between Honor & Integrity System & Registrar's Office

If a K-State faculty member wishes to assign an XF for a course due to a student's alleged Honor Pledge violation, the faculty member makes the request of the Honor & Integrity System and provides appropriate documentation for Honor & Integrity System files.

If the student does not contest the allegation, the Honor and Integrity System notifies the Registrar to record an XF on the student's academic record. The F will remain permanently on the record; the X (which indicates a violation of the Honor Pledge) can only be removed by successfully passing the Development and Integrity Course, offered in three sections each semester.

Should a student decide to contest the allegation, the Director follows the Honor and Integrity System Investigation and Adjudication Procedures and appoints the necessary Honor Council members to determine if an Honor Pledge violation has occurred.
